ISO/IEC 27003:2017 ISO27003-8.2: Information security risk assessment

Carry out risk assessments on a set schedule and whenever a major change is planned or happens, applying the criteria set under 6.1.2 a), and keep the results as documented information. Implementation points (general practice; the 27003 guidance text is not held): 6.1.2 defines the process and 8.2 runs it; set the interval, say what counts as a major change (new systems, sites or suppliers, incidents, new law or threats), and keep each result for comparison with the next. ISO/IEC 27005 gives detailed guidance (held introduction of 27003).
