SOC 2 SOC2-P8.1: P8.1 Inquiries, complaints, disputes and compliance monitoring

A process receives, handles, resolves and reports back on questions, complaints and disputes raised by individuals and others, compliance is monitored periodically, and corrections for identified deficiencies are made promptly. Points of focus: data subjects know how to contact the organisation; a process addresses inquiries, complaints and disputes; each complaint's resolution is documented and communicated; compliance with privacy objectives is reviewed, documented and reported to management with remediation plans for problems; instances of non-compliance are documented, reported and corrected or disciplined promptly; and ongoing monitoring checks the how well controls protecting personal information are working.

You are reading one control. How much of SOC 2 have you already done?

SOC 2 SOC2-P8.1 is one control. If you already hold one of the frameworks below, a reviewed crosswalk already says how much of SOC 2 your existing evidence covers. Hold NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 and 49 of 61 SOC 2 controls already carry evidence.

Each report names every control your existing framework evidences, every one it does not, the reasoning behind each claim, and the claims that were argued against and rejected. 193 were rejected on the NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 pair alone.
