ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management Systems 8.1: Operational planning and control
What does 8.1 require?
Plan, carry out and control the processes connected with SEUs that are required to satisfy requirements and to put into effect the actions under 6.2. Do so by setting criteria for those processes, including criteria for running and maintaining facilities, equipment, systems and processes that use energy effectively, wherever lacking such criteria could make energy performance depart significantly from what was intended; by telling the relevant people what the criteria are; by controlling the processes against the criteria; and by keeping documented information sufficient for confidence that the processes ran as planned. Control changes that are planned, review what follows from changes that were not intended and mitigate harmful effects, and make sure that outsourced SEUs, and outsourced processes connected with SEUs, are kept under control.
