ISO 14001:2015 7.2: Competence

The organization works out what competence is needed by those working under its control whose work bears on its environmental performance or on whether it meets its compliance obligations; makes sure these people are competent through suitable education, training or experience; identifies the training needed in relation to its environmental aspects and to the environmental management system; and, where relevant, acts to obtain the competence required and checks whether those actions worked. Suitable documented information is kept to evidence competence.
