NSW Food Regulation 2025 47: Get Food Authority approval before engaging an external food safety auditor to audit the business's food safety program

What does 47 require?

A licensed food business may not arrange for an auditor who is not Food Authority staff to audit its food safety program, or a proposed one, without the Authority's approval. The application uses the approved form with the documents the Authority asks for; approval may carry conditions, may be general or limited to particular audits, and may be revoked by written notice.
