Sets should be specified to BS 7698 or ISO 8528, engines to BS ISO 3046 and alternators to BS EN 60034, with attention to the engine governor and alternator voltage regulation. Engines should be prime-rated (Class A): able to run at rated load for 12 consecutive hours including a 10% overload for up to 1 hour, with maintenance done. Load acceptance categories range from 100% to 25%; a high initial acceptance factor is the aim, and Category 2 (80%) of Class A is likely to suit most healthcare premises, balanced against cost and synchronising time. Larger engines should be turbocharged.
This control maps to 2 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 2 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
