Chapter 8: Routine maintenance and operational testing – NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 8.5: 8.5 Records

Every EPSS inspection, operational test, exercise run, repair and modification is recorded, and the records are produced to the AHJ on request. Each record shows the date of the maintenance report, who serviced the system, any unsatisfactory condition with the corrective action and parts replaced, and proof the repair was tested for the period the manufacturer recommends. The 2016 edition added a record retention rule; its period is not in the held material.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 5 controls across 4 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 17.22-17.28 Visual inspection feedback, planned preventive maintenance, audits and condition-based replacement
  • 17.96-17.97 Single-line diagram of primary and secondary supplies and generator run-hour records

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
