Chapter 8: Routine maintenance and operational testing – NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 8.2: 8.2 Manuals, special tools and spare parts

The EPSS manufacturers furnish no fewer than two copies of the instructions for major components covering operation, routine maintenance, repair, an illustrated parts list and wiring and schematic drawings; for Level 1 one set is kept near the equipment and the other elsewhere, both secure. Special tools and test devices are available when needed, replacements for parts known to fail often are kept securely on site, and stocking the maker's recommended spares is considered.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 3 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 16.33-16.34 Operating and maintenance manual with switching philosophy and isolation points
  • 17.29-17.31 Spares strategy and standardised plant; EMC awareness in maintenance

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
