Chapter 8: Routine maintenance and operational testing – NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 8.3.1-8.3.2: 8.3.1 and 8.3.2 Maintenance objective and start of the programme

The EPSS is maintained so it can supply power within the type time and for the class duration. The programme starts immediately after acceptance testing or after repairs affecting reliability; the operational test after maintenance or repair is started at an ATS, covers each repaired component and moves each automatic and manual switch onto the alternate supply for 30 minutes or longer at operating temperature.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 2 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 8.3.1-8.3.2 8.3.1 and 8.3.2 Maintenance objective and start of the programme
  • 7.20-7.23 Two primary connections above 2 MVA and N+1 standby generators kept in readiness

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
