Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2)
Chapter 3 Part 3-2 Division 2: Unsolicited consumer agreements – Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2)

Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s86: s 86 No supply, and no payment accepted or required, during the 10 business day cooling-off period

During the period ending 10 business days after the agreement is made (phone sales: after the consumer receives the agreement document), the supplier must not supply the goods or services, or accept or require any payment or other consideration for them. Goods or services supplied in breach are treated as unsolicited. Reg 88 disapplies s 86 (and the related information duties) for licensed suppliers doing urgent repair work after a declared emergency, and reg 89 disapplies it for connecting electricity or gas to premises not already supplied by that supplier.
