Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s78: s 78 Give the consumer a copy of the agreement at signing, or the agreement document within 5 business days for phone sales

For an unsolicited consumer agreement not negotiated by telephone, the dealer must give the consumer a copy of the agreement immediately after the consumer signs it. For one negotiated by telephone, the dealer must give the consumer, in person, by post or (with consent) electronically, a document evidencing the agreement within 5 business days or a longer agreed period.
