Division 2: Food safety programs (clauses 3 to 6) – Australia Food Standards Code Standard 3.2.1 Food Safety Programs

Australia Food Standards Code Standard 3.2.1 Food Safety Programs 3ab: Systematically examine all food handling operations for hazards and, where any are found, develop and implement a food safety program (clause 3(a) and (b))

What does 3ab require?

A food business within scope must work systematically through each of its food handling operations to find the hazards that could reasonably be expected, and where one or more hazards are identified must draw up and put in place a program to control them. The examination must cover all operations, not only the obviously risky steps, and the program must follow from the hazards found.
