When a sprinkler installation is finished the installer fills in an installation tag with the water supply test results taken during the work and fixes it durably to every system riser, but not before the system satisfies the applicable NFPA installation standard, freeze protection included. After the initial tests and inspections an ITM tag is attached as well. A further installation tag is added each time more than twenty sprinkler heads are added. Installation tags stay on the system for its life, are white, 5-1/4 by 2-5/8 inches with a durable attachment, may be printed for several years, and carry the do-not-remove inscription, the firm's name, address, telephone number and certificate number, the punched date, the statement that the tag holds important information and must stay for the life of the system, the owner's or occupant's name and address, the building or system identifier, the static and flowing pressures of the main drain test at the riser or lead-in, the static and residual pressures and measured flow of the water supply test used for the hydraulic design, and the signature and licence number of the RME-General or RME-Dwelling.
