Subchapter G: fire sprinkler rules (34.701 to 34.725) – Texas State Fire Marshal Rules (28 TAC Chapter 34, Subchapters C, E, F and G)

Texas State Fire Marshal Rules (28 TAC Chapter 34, Subchapters C, E, F and G) 34.715: RME examinations: 70 percent pass on the rules and the statute plus any technical qualifying test, retests and re-examination after two years' lapse

What does 34.715 require?

Each licence applicant passes, with at least 70 percent, a test on the subchapter and Insurance Code chapter 6003 and, where the application section requires, a technical qualifying test; the State Fire Marshal's Office sets content, frequency and location. A failing examinee files a retest application with the fee; a person whose licence has lapsed for two years or more must pass another test before a new licence issues, while renewal within two years of expiry needs no test.
