Texas State Fire Marshal Rules (28 TAC Chapter 34, Subchapters C, E, F and G) 34.519: Installation labels and installation certificates for fixed extinguisher systems

What does 34.519 require?

After installing a fixed system the licensee fixes an installation label, five inches by four inches, gum type and not red, to the control head or panel; the licensee's signature certifies lawful installation. The label carries only the inscription the state fire marshal's do-not-remove inscription and the words SYSTEM INSTALLATION RECORD, both in capitals of at least 10-point bold type, the firm's name, address and telephone number, its certificate number, the signature and licence number of the certifying licensee (no stamped signature), the installation date and the manufacturer's manuals used. After any installation, modification or addition the licensee also completes the state fire marshal's installation certificate, giving the original to the owner or posting it at the control head, a copy to the authority having jurisdiction where required, and a copy kept at the certifying firm's office for the State Fire Marshal's Office to inspect.
