Licence applicants sit an examination and must score at least 70 percent, supplemented where the state fire marshal thinks necessary by practical tests; content, frequency, location and any outsourced testing service are set by the marshal. The Type B test covers the subchapter and Insurance Code chapter 6001 and portable installation and service; Type A adds fixed systems and pre-engineered cooking-area systems; Type K covers portables and cooking-area systems; Type PL covers the rules and the statute plus a technical qualifying test through NICET. Failing any topic requires a retest application and fee; a licence expired two years or more requires a new test, while renewal within two years does not; tests falling on a religious holy day may be rescheduled; each test type may be scheduled no more than three times in twelve months; and the full application must be submitted within a year of passing, or the test is void (NICET tests excepted).
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
