A child safe entity implements and complies with the child safe standard in s 9(j): policies and procedures document how the entity is safe for children. The QFCC Guidelines (s 108), to which the entity must have regard (s 11(3)), set the key action areas: policies and procedures that embed all the standards and the universal principle; documents that are accessible and easy to understand; development informed by best practice and consultation, including First Nations-led practice models and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consultation; leaders who champion and model compliance; and staff and volunteers who understand and implement them.
