A child safe entity implements and complies with the child safe standard in s 9(i): implementation of the child safe standards is regularly reviewed and improved. The QFCC Guidelines (s 108), to which the entity must have regard (s 11(3)), set the key action areas: regular review, evaluation and improvement of child safety policies, procedures and practices; analysis of complaints, concerns and incidents to find causes and systemic failures; reporting review findings to staff, volunteers, community, families and children; mechanisms to measure progress using diverse methods including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander success indicators; and policies that embed shared responsibility and accountability.
