A child safe entity implements and complies with the child safe standard in s 9(h): physical and online environments promote safety and wellbeing and minimise the opportunity for children to be harmed. The QFCC Guidelines (s 108), to which the entity must have regard (s 11(3)), set the key action areas: a holistic, strengths-based approach covering physical, social, spiritual, emotional and cultural wellbeing; identifying and mitigating online and physical risks without compromising children's privacy, information, social connection or learning; online use consistent with the Code of Conduct and policy; risk management plans (including the child and youth risk management strategy) covering settings, activities and the physical environment; and procurement that ensures third-party facilities and services keep children safe.
