To meet the CDM Regulations designers should plan from the start for safe, adequate access and maintenance whatever the size of the installation, and electrical services should not compromise space and routes for other services, so that maintenance can be done with minimum disruption to supply. Designers with the Group should plan the way the installation is to be commissioned and tested, including services hidden at handover and any phased occupation.
