Chapter 7: Installation and environmental considerations – NFPA 111-2025 Standard on Stored Electrical Energy Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 111-2025 Standard on Stored Electrical Energy Emergency and Standby Power Systems 7.3: 7.3 Heating, cooling, ventilating and humidity control

Heating and cooling keep the equipment within the maker's ambient range both with normal power and during the emergency; flammable gas from batteries or other electrochemical storage is diffused and vented to keep concentrations within NFPA 855 or other applicable codes; vented battery rooms have openings or airflow placed to stop gas pockets forming per NFPA 1; and circulating or exhaust fans use motors suited to the duty.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 2 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 7.7 7.7 Heating, cooling and ventilating
  • 11.1-11.8 Battery selection, environment, charging and temperature alarms

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
