Chapter 7: Installation and environmental considerations – NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems

NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 7.11: 7.11 Protection of the EPS room

The EPS room is not used for unrelated purposes (maintenance parts, tools and manuals may be stored); carbon dioxide or halon suppression is not used unless combustion air comes from outside, and automatic dry chemical only with the maker's certification of no harm; fire detection follows NFPA 72; outdoor and rooftop Level 1 sets are protected against lightning; and in seismic areas the EPS and its distribution, fuel and water lines are designed to limit earthquake damage and keep working during and after the event.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 3 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • 7.4.1-7.4.4 7.4.1 to 7.4.4 Protection of the SEPSS room
  • 7.4.5 7.4.5 Seismic protection
  • 8.21-8.30 Access, security and maintenance space in substations and switchrooms

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
