Process Outline and Code of Practice: accredited ratings of existing buildings, on actual performance data, can only be obtained through an accredited assessor, who is an individual (not a company), selected on qualifications and experience, trained, examined, put through a supervised rating and bound by the Code as a condition of accreditation, and personally responsible for the rating. The assessor exercises due skill, care and diligence, follows the Process Documents as amended (the Rules, Rulings and technical advice, the Code, the accreditation, auditing, renewal, dispute, insurance and fee procedures), completes ratings under them as soon as reasonably practicable and lodges on the customer's behalf once both have accepted the terms and conditions. Retraining or re-examination may be required at the assessor's cost, and failure to attend may lead to suspension or withdrawal. Every rating receives a Level 1 audit of data entry and rule application and about 5 % a Level 2 full re-rating (stated in the Sustainable Finance Criteria).
