ISO 37301:2021 8.2: Establishing controls and procedures

The organization shall implement controls to manage its compliance obligations and the related compliance risks, and the controls shall be maintained, periodically reviewed and tested to ensure their continuing effectiveness; testing means performing designed activities to check whether a control operates as intended, cannot be circumvented, and effectively reduces the consequences or likelihood of the risk.
