Where the determination is made at an on-site interim status or permitted TSDF, a trained professional must accompany the unwanted material directly from the laboratory to the facility; on arrival it becomes subject to the entity's permit or interim status; the determination must be made within 4 calendar days of arrival; hazardous waste must be labelled "hazardous waste" within those 4 days and before removal from the facility, must carry its codes before on-site treatment or disposal or off-site transport, is counted toward generator status in the month of determination, and is managed under all applicable rules.
