Where the determination is made at an on-site central accumulation area, a trained professional must accompany the unwanted material from the laboratory directly to that area; on arrival it becomes subject to 262.16 or 262.17 (except the "hazardous waste" labelling conditions); a trained professional must make the determination within 4 calendar days of arrival; hazardous waste must be labelled "hazardous waste" within those 4 days and before leaving the area, must carry its codes before on-site treatment or disposal or off-site transport, is counted in the month of determination, and is managed under all applicable rules.
