Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s100: s 100 Give a proof of transaction for supplies of $75 or more, and within 7 days on request

A supplier to a consumer must give a proof of transaction as soon as practicable after supply where the price excluding GST is $75 or more, and within 7 days of a request (made as soon as practicable after supply) where it is less. The proof must identify the supplier and its ABN (or ACN), and state the date, the goods or services and the price; a tax invoice, register receipt, card statement, handwritten receipt, lay-by agreement or phone or online confirmation number can serve. It must be transparent.
