Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r405-407: rr 405 to 407 Health monitoring for lead risk work: before start, at 1 month, then at blood-lead-based intervals

The PCBU ensures health monitoring of the Schedule 14 table 14.2 type (or an equal or better type an experienced practitioner recommends) is provided before a worker first starts lead risk work and 1 month after (or, where work is reclassified, as soon as practicable and 1 month later), then biological monitoring at intervals set by the last result: for males and females not of reproductive capacity every 6 months below 10 micrograms per decilitre, every 3 months from 10 to below 20, every 6 weeks at 20 or more; for females of reproductive capacity every 3 months below 5 and every 6 weeks from 5 to below 10; more often if activity is likely to change exposure significantly, or as the regulator determines.
