The PCBU provides and maintains changing rooms, washing, showering and toilet facilities to minimise secondary exposure from contaminated clothing and ingestion and to avoid spreading contamination, ensures so far as reasonably practicable that workers remove contaminated clothing and equipment and wash hands and faces before eating or drinking, ensures contaminated PPE is sealed in a container before leaving the lead area and is disposed of at a site able to accept it or, if not reasonably practicable, laundered at a laundry equipped for lead-contaminated clothing or kept sealed for reuse (non-clothing PPE decontaminated or kept sealed), decontaminates sealed containers before removal, and takes all reasonable steps to stop contaminated clothing leaving the workplace except for laundering or disposal.
