Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Risks of Hazardous Chemicals in the Workplace
Section 1: Duties, prohibited chemicals, exposure standards, register and manifest – Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Risks of Hazardous Chemicals in the Workplace

Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Risks of Hazardous Chemicals in the Workplace 1.3b: 1.3 Consult, cooperate and coordinate with other duty holders where chemicals are shared

A PCBU must consult, cooperate and coordinate with all others who hold a duty on the same chemical matter, so far as reasonably practicable (WHS Act s 46), exchanging information, finding out who is doing what and working together so risks are eliminated or minimised. For example, when a contractor brings hazardous chemicals on site the other duty holders should be told of the chemical use and each activity planned so that none creates risks for others.
