The employer must ascertain the temperature and give 20 minutes' paid rest after every 2 hours where work continues for more than 2 hours above 46 degrees Celsius, and pay the heat allowance to employees employed there before 8 August 1991 working in artificially raised temperatures; pay the nauseous work allowance (with a weekly minimum) for handling unsealed nauseous linen or unusually dirty or offensive work; pay the occasional interpreting allowance per occasion (with a weekly cap) to employees not employed as interpreters; and pay the on-call allowance per 24-hour period (higher on Sundays and public holidays) to employees required to be on call.
