An annualised wage may be agreed in writing only with a full-time Support Services Level 8 or 9 or Health Professional Level 2, 3 or 4 employee, in satisfaction of minimum rates, allowances, overtime, penalty and shiftwork rates and annual leave loading. The agreement must state the wage, the provisions satisfied, the calculation method with each component and any overtime or penalty assumptions, and outer limits for penalty-attracting ordinary hours and overtime per pay period or roster cycle, with hours beyond paid separately; a copy is given to the employee and kept as a time and wages record; it ends on 12 months' written notice or by agreement. The wage must not be less than the award would pay over the year; every 12 months and on termination the employer must reconcile and pay any shortfall within 14 days, keeping start, finish and break records signed or acknowledged by the employee each pay period or roster cycle. Arrangements made with former Level 2 Health Professionals on or before 30 September 2026 continue (J.4.4).
