Australia Food Standards Code Standard 3.2.2 Food Safety Practices and General Requirements cl11: Clause 11 Food disposal

The business holds and keeps separate any food for disposal (food that is recalled, returned, not safe or suitable, or reasonably suspected of not being safe or suitable) until it is destroyed or otherwise disposed of so it cannot be eaten, returned to its supplier, further processed in a way that makes it safe and suitable, or confirmed as safe and suitable. Such food is clearly identified as returned, recalled, or unsafe or unsuitable food, as the case may be. Food already served to one person is not sold to another unless it was completely wrapped when served and stayed completely wrapped.
