An employee specifically appointed as a leading hand must be paid an additional weekly amount, on top of the rate of the highest classification they supervise or their own rate if higher, at the level in clause 18.3(c) of the current award (consolidated to 1 July 2026, read 30 September 2026) for being in charge of 3 to 10, 11 to 20, or more than 20 employees. It is an all-purpose allowance.
