A supplier who hires out or leases plant must have it inspected and maintained between each hire or lease so that risks from its use are eliminated as far as reasonably practicable or, where elimination is not reasonably practicable, reduced as far as reasonably practicable (r 93). The supplier must make a record of every inspection and every item of maintenance done under r 93 and keep that record for as long as it manages or controls the plant (r 94). Each record breach carries up to 60 penalty units (natural person) or 300 (body corporate).
