For as long as it manages or controls the plant, a self-employed person or employer must keep a record of every inspection and all maintenance carried out on: five kinds of Schedule 2 plant (self-erecting tower cranes, building maintenance units, mobile cranes rated over 10 tonnes other than reach stackers, chairlifts and concrete-placing booms); boilers of hazard level A, B or C under AS 4343; lifts; tower cranes; and pressure vessels of hazard level A, B or C under AS 4343, excluding gas cylinders covered by AS 2030, automotive LP gas fuel vessels covered by AS/NZS 3509 and serially produced vessels covered by AS 2971. Former paragraph (b) has been revoked. Breach carries up to 60 penalty units (natural person) or 300 (body corporate).
