An employee of a mine operator must wear or use PPE or rescue equipment supplied by the operator as instructed; follow the operator's other instructions given in complying with Part 5.3; warn immediate co-workers of any mining hazard they become aware of; tell the operator if they see anyone who seems to be in a condition that could endanger themselves or others; not enter or stay at the mine while adversely affected by drugs or alcohol, and not bring alcohol, or drugs that may affect them (whether or not prescribed and authorised), into the mine without the operator's permission. If a mining hazard incident happens, an employee must take appropriate corrective action in line with the instruction and training received under r 441, without putting themselves or others at risk and even if doing so could interrupt the mine's operation.
