Before employing an applicant for work at a mine, the employer must tell them what the medical examinations and any other health monitoring that Part 5.3 requires for employees are for, and what type or nature of examination and monitoring is involved. The duty falls on the employer, and applies before the person is taken on. Maximum penalty is 5 penalty units for an individual and 25 for a body corporate.
