Every mine operator must ensure that anyone who is not its employee and enters the mine is promptly, as soon as reasonably possible following entry, informed of mining hazards they might be exposed to and instructed on the safety precautions to take. At a prescribed mine they must also be instructed on what to do if the emergency plan is activated while they are there.
