A prescribed mine's operator must test its emergency plan at least once every year to ensure it remains effective, and must do all that is needed so that the emergency services consulted under r 433(2)(b)(i) join in those tests. The annual interval is far shorter than the 3 year limit for major hazard facilities under r 377.
