Before it can be granted an MHF licence under Part 6.1, an operator has to prepare a safety case in line with Part 5.2 and give it to the Authority. The safety case accompanies the licence application; its required content is set by r 385 and Schedule 17, its preparation must follow any safety case outline lodged under r 367, and Part 6.1 governs how the Authority deals with the application.
