Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 r375: r 375 Prepare an emergency plan for the major hazard facility

The operator of an MHF must prepare an emergency plan, which counts as one of its r 371 risk control measures. The plan must deal with what a major incident could do both within the site and beyond it, contain everything listed in Schedule 16, and be prepared together with the emergency services responsible for the facility's area and, for off-site consequences, with the municipal councils covering the local community's area. The operator must make sure the plan can be put into action immediately if a major incident occurs or an uncontrolled event or incident happens that could reasonably be expected to escalate into one.
