The employer must make sure that containers holding waste which a hazardous substance gives rise to at the workplace are identified. The Division 2 supplier duties (full SDS and label) only attach to the waste if it is generated to be sold or exchanged for use elsewhere. The duty supports sections 21 and 23 of the Act.
