An employer must make sure employees who could be exposed are made aware of the hazardous substance held in pipes, piping systems, process or reactor vessels, or other plant forming part of a manufacturing process. Pipe markers, vessel signage, piping and instrumentation diagrams and training can all serve. The duty supports sections 21 and 23 of the Act.
