Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 r125: r 125 Design of Schedule 2 plant must be registered

Every Schedule 2 plant design needs registration under Part 6.2, and under section 40(2) of the Act no person may use such plant at a workplace unless its design is registered. Designs where design work began before 1 July 1995 are excluded, except designs for Schedule 2 amusement structures. For a Schedule 2 amusement structure whose design work began before 1 July 1995, the registration requirement does not bite until 1 November 2027; if an application for registration is received before that date but not decided by then, the requirement is deferred until the applicant is notified of registration (r 512) or of refusal (r 511B).
