UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) Reg.23: Regulation 23: Marketing emails must not conceal the sender and must carry a valid opt-out address

A person must not send, or instigate, direct marketing by electronic mail where the identity of the person on whose behalf it is sent is disguised or concealed, where no valid address is given to which the recipient can send a request to stop, where the message breaches regulation 7 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 on identifying commercial communications, or where it encourages recipients to visit websites that breach that regulation.
