Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003
Part 2 and the Second Schedule: unfair practices a supplier must not engage in – Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003

Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 S2-7-22: Availability claims qualified, and no bait-and-switch

What does S2-7-22 require?

A supplier must not claim that something can be had, or can be had for a particular reason, at a price, in a quantity or at a time, when it knows or should know otherwise, unless the limitation is clearly stated (paragraph 7). Inviting a consumer to buy particular goods or services at a price and then, to push different ones, refusing to show or demonstrate them, refusing to take an order, failing to supply them within a reasonable time or showing a defective sample is also an unfair practice (paragraph 22).
