Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003
Part 2 and the Second Schedule: unfair practices a supplier must not engage in – Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003

Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 S2-23: Material facts disclosed, never buried in small print

What does S2-23 require?

Omitting to give a consumer a material fact, using small print to hide one, or misleading the consumer about one, in connection with a supply of goods or services, is an unfair practice (paragraph 23). A material fact is anything the supplier knows or should know would affect the consumer's decision: total price including compulsory fees, contract duration and renewal, key exclusions, and known defects or limitations.
