The facility closely monitors actual and proposed changes that may affect OSH: internal changes in organisation (such as staff or workers), in activities (processes, equipment, infrastructure and programmes), in materials (such as new chemicals and packaging) and in the OSH management regulation itself (such as procedures), and external changes in OSH legislation and in relevant knowledge and technology. For every internal change or proposal it determines and evaluates the inherent risks, considers them before the change is introduced and puts monitoring measures in place at or before introduction; for every relevant external change it evaluates the implications for its OSH processes before acting. The evaluation is done in consultation with the appropriate workers, and when a change decision is implemented all affected workers are notified by email, newsletter, posters, presentations, manuals or other suitable channels. Applies at the highest level only.
