For a contract to which s 7 does not apply whose price (or reasonable market cost) exceeds the lower amount prescribed for s 7AAA (GST inclusive), the contract must be in writing, dated and signed by or for each party, and must name the parties (including the licence holder's name as shown on the licence) and state the licence number, a description of the work, any plans and specifications and the contract price if known. It must also meet any regulation requirements for small-job contracts. Contracts between licence holders for work each is licensed for, and specialist work that is not residential building work, are excluded.
